The Sheashells Resort at Suncrest Hotel hosted recently a 5-day long Leadership Development Seminar organised by AIESEC Malta, the local branch of the world’s largest student-run organisation. The seminar, which was held between 12 and the 16 of March was saw the participation of not only the local members of AIESEC but also by other AIESECers from around the globe.
Active in over 1700 universities across more than 107 countries and territories, AIESEC’s international platform enables young people to explore and develop their leadership potential for them to have a positive impact in society. Every year the student-run organization runs over 470 conferences across the globe as training and learning events for its members. AIESEC Malta won the bid to host WENA LDS 2010, which is a 5-day long Leadership Development Seminar, aimed at gathering the most brilliant international youths to develop their potential and build a strong network. This training further enables upcoming generations to have a positive impact in their local realities and on society in general.
This year’s WENA LDS was organised at the Seashells Resort at Suncrest where local AIESECers were very proud to host 200 of their international comrades in Malta. Located on the seaside of Qawra and boasting spectacular views of the Maltese Islands, the Seashells Resort is one of Malta’s best as well as one of the largest, with 452 rooms catering for a vast number of individual guests and groups, holiday-makers or business travellers alike. Indeed the Seashells Resort at Suncrest boasts the ability to take a conference of 350 persons and host them in the same hotel, not only providing professional services but also ensuring a hassle-free and enjoyable stay.
Taking place over the second and third weeks of March, this years WENA LDS international congress was a great success, closed on the last night by a masquerade-themed official dinner which was held in the Poseidon Hall of the hotel.
