It’s Going to be different

Malta Independent Thursday, 29 April 2010, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

This year it is certainly going to be different. I had grown used to having the first of May celebrated in my hometown of Valletta, but things cannot be helped I guess.

One just cannot insist that the government of the day postpones the parliament building project just to satisfy a few Labour supporters, can one?

I have no doubt though that people would go from Land’s End to John O’Groats just to celebrate this day and listen to Joseph Muscat speak about unemployment, the high cost of living, corruption, endless water and electricity bills, out-of-stock medicines and more. The list is truly and unmercifully endless.

Come the first of May, the government of the day and the men at the helm will see what a gigantic, massive crowd is all about.
