Very ‘edible’ Preaching

As with food for the stomach, more are looking to get their fill with ‘edible’ homilies and other preaching. I was fortunate to be able to attend one of the scheduled talks by high powered personalities brought to Tal-Ibragg Chapel in the Lent past. It wasn’t a short speech but those present were all ears for the splendidly ‘university’ style lecture delivered by the particular Minister of Religion. These Lenten talks had been commendably advertised in an English language daily but as in search for a good restaurant, I guess more and more are looking about for the fulfilling Sunday observance Mass even in parishes and churches far from their own. This I mean as a general comment and not to detract from the well prepared homilies of the Carmelite Frairs I frequent!
