Alfa Romeo With its own models at the Malta Fashion Awards

Malta Independent Saturday, 8 May 2010, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

Alfa Romeo, is this year celebrating 100 years of glory and style. Therefore, 2010 is a rather special year for the Italian car brand. Being a big year, Alfa Romeo has also decided to associate itself with one of the year’s biggest events – the Malta Fashion Awards – as one of its main sponsors. The event will be held on Saturday 15 May and is expected to be a night to remember for all fashion enthusiasts.

During the event, Alfa Romeo will be displaying four of its very own models namely the 159, MiTo, Brera and the 147. Moreover, to contribute its fair share of glamour to the night, Alfa Romeo will also be providing three Alfa Romeo 159 which will accompany all the nominees to the red carpet. Moreover, the event has also secured the participation of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club whose members will be displaying their prized classic Alfa models right outside the main entrance of the MFCC, the venue of the Fashion Awards.

“Alfa Romeo is not only any other car brand but is considered as the unparalleled epitome of Italian style and beauty on wheels. Therefore, Alfa Romeo’s connection to fashion is only a natural one,” says Kenneth Rizzo Naudi, Sales & Marketing Manager of Alfa Romeo in Malta.

“There are important factors proving this as a recognised fact,” added Mr Rizzo Naudi. “Top Gear magazine has officially declared the stunning Alfa Romeo 8C Spider as the ‘Most Beautiful Car of the Year’ describing it as ‘perfection’ not only from an aesthetic point of view but in all its totality including its technology and performance features. Also, it comes as no surprise when we learn that Alfa Romeo also inspired a collaboration with Italia Independent, a brand specialising in contemporary stylish goods for the sports coupè model from the Italian car manufacturer – the Alfa Romeo Brera. This is a trait that Alfa Romeo has deeply engraved in its DNA: to associate itself and collaborate with top brands in the business such as Pinifarina, Giugiaro, Bertone, Zagato, and Ital-Design for its models; as well as others the like of Poltrone Frau for its leather interiors and BOSE for its top hi-fi systems.”

“We are not only enlisting ourselves as sponsors but we will also be taking up an active role at these forthcoming Malta Fashion Awards since following the event, The Malta Fashion Awards 2010 in collaboration with U.C.I.M. Co. Ltd. will be hosting the Alfa Romeo Centenary Party. Plans are also in place to accompany the nominees to the red carpet on board of the sexy Alfa Romeo 159 Berlina. Following the awards, the winners and guests will all be treated to the Alfa Romeo Centenary Party,” announced Mr Rizzo Naudi.
