The Men’s Tennis National Team left Malta yesterday afternoon on their way to Athens, Greece to participate and represent Malta in the Davis Cup organised by the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

The event will take place at the Olympic Tennis Centre in Athens, Greece between the 10 and 15 May. Eleven teams from Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Georgia, Greece, Iceland, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro & San Marino will be participating.

The eleven nations will be competing in a two-pool round robin challenge in the ITF - Europe Zone, Group III. The Top nations in each pool play-off play against the runner-up in the other pool on 15 May. The two winning nations will be promoted to the Europe Zone Group II.

The contingent is expected back in Malta next Sunday.
