The Down Syndrome Association refers to Bondiplus programme broadcasted live on PBS on 3 May, 2010.

The Association would like to bring to the attention of all responsible of this programme and of all responsible of the station itself that Mr Lowell’s comments made during this programme with regards to persons with disability were disrespectful to these very same persons and their families. This programme, aired on our public station and funded by public funds literally hurt lots of people.

Freedom of speech does not mean that one can use our public station to offend others.
