The Peter Lehmann wine tasting dinner, organised by Attard & Co. Foodstuffs Ltd at The Arches Wine Bar and Restaurant on Friday 23 April, happened to be the last great event where Executive Chef Mark Edwards prepared some of his delicious meals for his guests.

A few days later the local food scene lost one of great chefs of in a fatal road accident.

Mr Edwards was employed as a dishwasher at The Arches when just out of school, but his enthusiasm for food and cooking led him to become one of the most celebrated chefs on the island and will be remembered by everyone who tasted his wonderful cuisine.

Throughout his career he entertained various world famous personalities with his signature dishes.

Mr Edwards, an amazing husband and father, was a generous and hardworking person who has been an inspiration to his family, colleagues and friends.

Needless to say, he leaves a beautiful legacy behind.
