Customers in Malta have been enjoying Valfrutta for the past ten years. To mark the occasion, Charles Darmanin & Co Ltd together with Conserve Italia hosted a reception that brought together a number of retailers and other people who helped make Valfrutta brand a successful household name.

Looking back at the past years, Lawrence Said Dudley Ward, Company Director at Charles Darmanin & Co Ltd said: “The past ten years have offered their challenges. When we first began importing the Valfrutta range, high levies were in place on imports.”

“Now, ten years later, we can proudly say that our products have become a household name”. This evening provides us with a perfect opportunity to thank everyone for their constant and valued support in making Valfrutta’s excellent products the first choice of many families in Malta,” he added.

The Valfrutta brand was developed by Conserve Italia, a consortium with over 14,500 farmers throughout Italy. Since its foundation in 1976, the Group has gone from strength to strength and can now boast of a total number of 12 factories; 8 in Italy, 3 in France and 1 in Spain.

Mr Cesare Concilio, the new Commercial Director, and Mr Andrea Panzeri, Export Area Manager of Conserve Italia, were also present at the reception. Whilst addressing the guests, Mr. Concilio thanked Charles Darmanin & Co Ltd and the guests for their constant support.

The evening provided the perfect backdrop to announce the launch of the new Polpa Fine in a 400g tin. Valfrutta offers a wide range of delicious products. Customers can choose from Valfrutta’s renowned tomato products, available in glass bottles and cans, canned fruits and vegetables, a range of healthy fruit juices and nectars in easy open Tetrapak. The new ’Polpe di Frutta’ range with its assorted range of fruit puree’s, and the ’La Crema Pronta’ range of delicious readymade soups.
