MTV Mobile – powered by GO – is once again pledging its full support to the organisers of the Earth Garden initiative at Ta’ Qali National Park on 5 and 6 June.

This year’s edition of the popular, green social event promises to be even bigger, better and more jam-packed with an exciting mix of activities for the whole family. To mark the eco-friendly event, MTV Mobile launched an attractive offer for subscribers that gives them the chance to watch the Unplugged Music Concert at the MTV Mobile Earth Garden for free simply by topping up their mobile phone with €10 or more.

What’s more, besides winning two free tickets to the Unplugged Concert, new customers who switch to MTV Mobile during the offer period and top up with €10 or more will receive 1000 free SMS. They will further benefit from 1000 additional free SMS each time they top up with €10 or more. The free SMSs are for all MTV Mobile subscribers and are valid for 30 days. The offer runs until 14 June.

Thanks to the MTV special offer, several customers have received free tickets and will be enjoying the spectacular unplugged concert in the Greek Theatre of the National Park next Sunday evening. Set against the magical backdrop of Mdina, the truly awesome venue lends itself superbly to natural sounds of voice and acoustic instruments. Boasting a full programme of up-and-coming artists including Chasing Pandora, Airport Impressions, Carrie Haber, Shilloo’s Tree and Stalko, the concert offers performing bands a rare opportunity to unplug and give their audience a remarkable music experience in a truly enchanting atmosphere.

Speaking about the Unplugged Music Concert, MTV Mobile Marketing Executive Davinia Bajada said: “We are delighted to give our customers the chance to enjoy the unplugged music concert. MTV Mobile – powered by GO – is proud to associate itself with this event which brings together culture, environment, and the wider society in general.”

“The Unplugged Music Concert is a prime example of how Earth Garden has successfully prioritised diverse creative processes in this case music. The initiative forms part of Earth Garden’s drive to strengthen its commitment for a safer and healthier future by celebrating the beauty of colour, sound and rhythm,” she said.

MTV Mobile has once again teamed up with the organisers of Earth Garden – and has joined forces with them to promote the primary scope of the environmental initiative that consists in rousing public awareness on the devastating environmental impact of disposing electronic devices by throwing them in a litterbin. The majority of consumer electronic items contain harmful material such as lead, mercury, and even arsenic, which, if not disposed of properly, will inevitably pollute the environment. In line with a Greenpak WEEE Recycle programme that focuses specifically on the disposal of electrical products, visitors to Earth Garden are encouraged to participate hands-on in the project and bring in any electrical and electronic equipment waste to be disposed of in a proper environmental manner via recycling.

During a presentation held at the MTV store in the Embassy Shopping Complex Valletta, Ms Bajada presented winners with two admission tickets each to the Unplugged Music Concert. The lucky winners thanked MTV Mobile for the great gift and said they were looking forward to the Unplugged Music Concert and agreed they would be grasping the opportunity to visit the MTV Mobile Earth Garden. They were especially eager to share the unique experience of being in a paradise of colours and smells as the National Park in Ta’ Qali is transformed into an eco-haven for the festival. They would certainly be paying a visit to the different zones including the Festive Grove, the Ethnic Market and Holistic Area – and other areas of the amazing eco-haven of smells and colours.
