It has just been three weeks since the new Marsascala bypass was opened. The work done is to be praised.  The same applies to the rubble walls, which have been skilfully built, giving a touch of the Maltese character.

Now some wise guy has plastered and painted in really bad taste part of this wall that gives access to a field, ruining the aesthetic view of that part of the rubble wall. This lies exactly at the beginning of the semi-circular part in front of the recycling plant going towards Marsascala. 

Moreover, this week, just opposite the same place, at the beginning of the road leading to Zejtun (near the drainage purification plant), some workers have dug up the road again and patched it with concrete instead of tarmac.

Who is responsible to see that such things do not happen?  This road has cost a lot of money to build and we should preserve it in its original state. No one has the right to spoil the beauty of the landscape or ruin the good infrastructural work carried out for the benefit of Marsascala residents and the Maltese in general. 

The person who retouched the rubble wall should be immediately asked to restore it to its original state. And the concrete patch should be tarmacked. When are we going to learn?
