GO recently announced the winner of its competition held to mark the launch of a trial for its high-definition (HD) TV service. Nicholas Schembri from Balzan certainly had good reason to be on cloud nine when he was declared winner of the competition after his name was drawn and he responded correctly on a skill question based on the GO brand. A wise decision to register his interest online in GO’s HD TV service has won Nicholas Schembri a Sony 32” HD-Ready LCD TV.

The competition began on the same day that GO launched the trial for its HD TV service, 21 April, and ran till 31 May. GO teamed up with Forestals Ltd – local market leaders in the LCD TV and the most popular TV distributors in the Maltese Islands – to give customers the chance to enjoy an outstanding HD entertainment experience. Thanks to the state-of the art Sony 32” HD-Ready LCD TV, the winner will now benefit from an exciting range of features that include compact design, built-in TV tuner, multimedia connections such as a USB input where one can watch movies, photos or listen to music – and much more.

Customers participating in the competition simply had to register their interest in GO’s HD TV offering via a form available on www.go.com.mt. By following this procedure, customers automatically participated in the competition.

GO customers will soon have HD TV, which brings the cinema experience to the comfort of their homes with more picture action, incredibly vibrant colours and superb quality digital sound. Meanwhile, they can get the feel of HD TV by visiting one of GO’s retail outlets in Bay Street St Julian’s, Birkirkara, Naxxar or the authorised dealers Telecom in San Gwann and Phone Box in Sliema.
