Keith Galea, a 33 year old from St Julian’s, has just been internationally recognised as the firstKrav Maga official trainer on the island.

A hairdresser by profession, Keith has been undergoing a series of training courses in Sicily where he passed his exams last weekend achieving his diploma.

With a infinite passion for sports and lots of personal time invested, Keith has been personally trained by Rosario Citarda who is one of the few master teachers to graduate under Philippe Kaddouch, a direct disciple of Imi Lihctenfeld (1910-1998), the Israeli Grand-master who founded the system in the late 1940s when serving as Chief Instructor for hand to hand combat and combat fitness trainer for the Israeli defence forces.

Krav Maga is one of the quickest growing self defence systems worldwide. It was originally developed for the Israeli defence and security forces and has since gained interest with civilians, celebrities, military and law enforcement personnel around the world.

Based on simple principles and instinctive movements, Krav Maga is a modern day reality-based system that is designed to teach practical self defence in the shortest possible time while giving you a great cardio workout.
