EC English – Breaking records

Malta Independent Sunday, 4 July 2010, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

EC English, one of Malta’s leading language schools, has once again been nominated for the Star Awards.

The Language Travel Magazine Star Awards are the most prestigious international awards of the industry. This event, equivalent to the Oscars, brings together the very best language schools and agents from all around the world for a grand gala night in London. The awards acknowledge the important links between organisations that offer education and work experience to international students and organisations that send students overseas for an international educational experience.

For the first time in the history of the awards, a language school has been nominated for no less than three awards. EC English has been nominated in the LTM Star Junior Provider 2010 category, LTM Star Innovation of the Year 2010 category and the LTM Star Chain School 2010 category.

“It’s great to be nominated for the fifth year in a row, and being nominated in a record three categories is breathtaking – not to mention winning last year’s Star Innovation award,” said EC English executive chairman Andrew Mangion. “This vote of confidence in EC is testimony to the hard work and dedication of all our people and the excellent relations we enjoy with our partner agents around the world.”

Last year, EC English won the LTM Star Innovation of the Year Award, breaking new ground as the first Malta-based company to be nominated for – let alone win – this title. The glamorous gala will be held at the end of August with over 600 people expected to take part in this night of celebration and friendly competition.
