Chiswick House School and St Martin’s College, two leading independent schools in Malta, have launched their LP+ e-learning platform that will be made available in the next scholastic year.
The leading and award-winning UK e-learning platform company LP+, together with its Maltese partner Exigy, said the project is the result of signing their first two e-learning project agreements on the island.
Patrick Tabone, principal of the two schools, said: “This is a very exciting and important development for our schools. e-learning will bring personalised learning to our students and give them new skills that are very relevant to the times in which we live. The launch marks the entry of LP+ into Malta and the establishment of a local office with its partner Exigy, a member of the M. Demajo Group. Exigy is a leading player in the e-government arena, providing comprehensive solutions to meet the specialised needs of governments and public sector institutions. The move into e-learning represents a natural extension to the business.
The LP+ ADOPT Framework, which has been jointly developed by Wolverhampton City Council’s e-Services team and the Learning Possibilities Company, secured the ‘ICT in Education’ title at the prestigious BETT (British Education and Training Technology) Awards 2010.
LP+ ADOPT was also selected by BECTA (British Educational Communications and Technology Agency, an agency of the Department for Education) as the National Model for eLearning Maturity in England. LP+ serves over 500 schools in England, with over 400,000 online users.
