There still seems to be a problem with the forces of law and order in Triq Santu Wistin.
In the past month, three members of my family have received a fine for parking in the box outside our own garage.
Because this simple fact has been reccurring, I once again contested it, this time writing to the petition board explaining that I had beren fined when parked in front of our family garage within the box, not on any yellow line.
The board has rejected my letter and I now have to appear in court!
Can someone explain why my family has been fined, even though the cars were parked properly, while others who are not residents of this road are not fined for parking badly?
It is ridiculous; if this is what local councils do to protect their residents, then Swieqi local council does not know what it is doing.
It is not the first time that I have brought up this matter and nothing has been done to
safeguard our property.
I would like to have answers to all this and try to understand why our road cannot have local residents’ parking signs when such a road is so problematic!
