With reference to the article with the above title (TMIS, 8 August), this is absurd and totally unacceptable.

Like any organisation, particularly one involved with minors, the Church has a duty of care. Any report of the molestation of a minor should be ipso facto a reportable matter – reportable that is to the competent authorities.

Enough is enough!
