When I first started reading about these tragic accidents I wanted to ask the question, ‘where are the raw materials coming from’? The reason I wanted to ask that question is because I suspected they were importing cheap materials from China. When are people going to learn that anything imported from China can’t be trusted? China is fast becoming the most powerful nation on earth and they are doing so by selling dangerous and inferior materials to the rest of the world. These people don’t care if people die because they have been sold inferior explosive materials for the manufacture of fireworks. So long as they have been paid, why should they worry? They don’t care if your children and babies die due to the poisons contained in food or toys. But the point is you should care.

What is your child’s life worth? Is it worth taking a few seconds and checking where that foodstuff has been manufactured? Is it worth checking where those toys were made before your child’s starts chewing on them as kids do? Should you wait until a lorry laden with unstable fireworks explodes as it passes a primary school before you realise that your child’s life is worth more than the few Euros that were saved by buying cheap materials from China.

Personally I would never buy anything that has been made in China because I care too much about my own personal safety. I go so far as to boycott shops that sell anything made in China because it is an indication to me that the owner of the shop is less interested in my well-being and more interested in turning a profit. The sooner the rest of the world wakes up to that fact and does likewise the better for us all.
