Simon Zahra yesterday signed for Birkirkara FC as an amateur player.

The 28-year-old Maltese-Australian player joined the club from the Australian side Blacktown Spartans. Last season he scored six goals for the Spartans.

Simon, who plays in midfield, made his debut yesterday in the league match against Sliema Wanderers.
