With reference to the article ‘Are fireworks factories sticking to safety rules?’ (TMID, 10 September), may I point out that any expert in the fireworks field will not comment on an accident of which the inquiry of the said accident has not been concluded yet.
I am really disappointed with the comments made by Mr Delicata who gave the impression that igniters were the cause behind the accident at 15th August fireworks factory in Dwejra.
In my position as licencee of the said factory, I can confirm that Mr Delicata’s impressions are wrong but I cannot say more because I don't want to make the same mistake as Mr Delicata did. If I have to unzip my mouth to the public, I will do it after the inquiry is closed because that's the way things should be; any further comments are useless.
