Martial Arts: 1st Dan Black Belt For Clint Bonnici at Clint Alexander’s Kung Fu Academy

Malta Independent Friday, 24 September 2010, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Clint Bonnici, 24, has achieved a 1st Dan Black Belt. The rigorous and intensive grading was conducted by Black belt 4th Dan instructor Si-fu Alexander Bonnici, the only recognised examiner in Malta of Hungar Kungfu.

This style is based on the five animal system. Through self discipline, hard work & determination Clint proved to be well prepared & in control both mentally & physically.

At this high level Kung-fu’s beauty starts to reveal itself. Kung Fu is not about fighting. It’s about making peace with your enemies. Kung Fu lives in how we treat people. Kung Fu is why “attitude” is so important. It’s about facing your fears and learning to take a stand.

It is also about “being still” on the inside instead of doing nothing.

It’s about “playing the pauses” – centering yourself, relaxing and allowing yourself time to breathe.

Having attained these skills and more, Bonnici continues to instruct the students from all walks of life, on a one-to-one basis.

With over 20 years of experience Clint-Alexander’s Kung Fu Academy, located besides Attard primary school, teaches students to achieve self confidence, concentration, control, respect, and self-discipline. Anyone interested in private tuition in this martial art should kindly contact the academy on 99868930 or 79380368. The academy opens Monday to Friday 4.30pm - 9pm.
