Maltese athletes, taking part in the European Championships of the Special Olympics in Poland, won two more gold medals on the last day.

The 4x400 metre relay team, made up of Sara Caruana, Ismail Falzon, Michael Calleja and Claudio Dalli came first.

The other gold medal was won by the Bowling team of Maria Spiteri, Angele Azzopardi, Bjorn Tabone and Albert Borg.

Before yesterday’s closing ceremony, Malta’s ambassador for Poland paid a courtesy visit to the Maltese contingent which returns home this evening.
