Njongo Priso has warned Msida St Joseph that he will be taking legal action against them if they fail to pay the sum of €25,000, which he claims is owed to him by the club after an agreement signed on 15 September 2007.

Priso, who had been an Msida player, had moved to Valletta FC, but the past summer, he joined Cypriot club Larnaca.

Darren Casha, in the name of the player, has presented a judicial letter in the First Hall Civil Court whereby he is claiming that the club owes Priso the above mentioned amount.

Casha stated that he had agreed to sign for Msida in 2007 for a monthly salary of Lm500 (€1,164.69), with the pact and condition that the said club had to try and sell the player within one year “and furthermore, when this happens and the player is effectively sold, the interpellant had to be paid from the said sale from the money received by Msida SJ for a double amount he had disbursed as salary for the said player till that time.”

In the judicial letter, Casha said that Msida had sold the player and the same club had also arrived to the conclusion that the amount due to him till that time the player was sold, was of €25,000. Notwithstanding this and notwithstanding various calls by the interpellant to the said club, no payment was made and this, according to Casha, was in violation of the relative agreement.

The agreement, in the form of a private writing, had been reached on 15 September 2007.

Through the judicial letter, Casha informed the club that in case it remained in default, he would have no other alternative except to proceed further against it with all the means contemplated by Law.
