When one is dissatisfied with the service obtained from any particular organisation, the tendency is to complain, and rightly so. However, when one gets sterling service from these same organizations, often one does not offer appropriate credit where credit is due.
I would like to commend two particular employees of the Bank of Valletta who have been of great help to me when necessary and who have gone far beyond what would normally be expected of them.
The first is Anna Maria Portelli (no relation) who works at the BOV Canada Representative Office. Over a period of years, I have found Anna Maria to be most helpful to me in my dealings with the bank. She is always extremely courteous and pleasant to deal with, very thorough in her approach and leaves no stone unturned to ensure that any difficulty or problem encountered is taken care of to the utmost satisfaction. She is most reliable and one can rest assured that she will do everything in her power to be of assistance.
The second employee is Lydia Vella who works at the International Clients Centre of the Bank in Valletta. Although I have not had the pleasure of meeting Ms Vella in person, I have recently had occasion to require assistance while dealing with the Bank on the internet. Ms Vella went far beyond answering my initial queries and, on her own, took the initiative to offer me additional advice and guidance which opened new doors for me. She followed through until not only did I obtain what I initially asked for but she also made available to me services that I wasn’t even aware existed.
Needless to say I was completely satisfied with her assistance and appreciated her extensive efforts to the utmost degree.
I hope that the Bank of Valletta is as proud of these two employees as I am.
