Starlites obtained their first league victory, after two defeats, handing Mtarfa their second loss. It was a lively match, with starlites enjoying the lion's share of the game's lead, but Mtarfa managed to forge in front briefly, after the break. Starlites went ahead once more, and kept their noses in front till the end.

It was Starlites with a much better start, to lead 13-1, with a Robert Bonnici triple. Mtarfa reacted, but Starlites held on to their advantage, also with an Ivan Riolo trey, for a double figure lead. In the second period Starlites improved on their lead, with a second Riolo triple, and more Bonnici points. Midway through the session Mtarfa picked up, and after a Malcolm Sammut trey, they ended the quarter with a sound 10-0 run, through Graham Coleiro and David Agius. At the interval Starlites were still leading 35-30.

After the break Mtarfa turned the score around, with triples by Agius and a thrid from Sammut. Starlites recovered, and went in front once more, with a second Bonnici triple. They had a better advantage in the last session, and then they made sure with more points from Steve Gouder, as he added his share. Mtarfa were still competitive, and kept Starlites on their toes till the end.

Siggiewi are on course to defend the title they won last season, and beat off Suns in their derby match, with the game being a high scoring one.

The champions opened up well , and though Suns had a reply, Siggiewi opened up their advantage, as Ian Terribile sank a triple. Trevor Grech did the same for the Suns, who were still trailing. In the second period Terribile made his second trey. They were stopped with a Robert Camilleri triple. Siggiewi were on a good advantage, with a 43-21 favourable score.

After the break both sides extended their score in a healthy manner. There were more triples at both ends, Darren debattista and Alister Duncan for Siggiewi, and two in a row for Grech, for Suns. Michael Barberi and Clayton Agius, the latter with two late triples, drew their side a little closer, but not enough to trouble the champions, who gave their young elements the last part of the match to indulge in.
