The Malta Futsal team will be leaving Malta today on their way to Tripoli, in Libya, where they will be taking part in the Group C of the first Mediterranean Futsal Cup.

The group is composed of the following players:

Goalkeepers: Matthew Mifsud and Bjorn Vassallo

Players: Melvin Borg, Chris Brincat, Leandros Calleja, Nicola Del Re, Michael Ellul, Alan Galea, Janbert Gatt, Robert Magro, Xavier Saliba, Carlo Scicluna and David Smith.

The team is accompanied by coach Vic Hermans and his assistant Bert Kessen, among others.

Their first match in Group C is on Tuesday against Bosnia. The next day they play against Cyprus and on Friday 5 November, they will be meeting Tunisia. On Saturday 6 November, there will be the matches for third and fourth places while the matches for the winners and runners-up in the groups will be played on Sunday 7 November.

The quarter-finals are to be played on Monday 8 November, the semi-finals on Tuesday 9 November and the final is scheduled for Wednesday 10 November.
