Recently TTN introduced two new teams to play in the national league second division alongside their third team which is competing for the second season.

TTN Comets, captained by Robert Mizzi, together with Daniel Said, Michela Scerri and Jurgan Sammut registered a well earned victory 9-1 in their first encounter with Table Tennis Academy top table.

All players performed to the expected standard. Luck of the draws wanted that the first match between the other two TTN teams be played against each other and therefore TTN Rockets, captained by Martin Borg, alongside David Grima, Luca Balzan and Karl Wismayer, played in a derby against TTN Meteors which is captained by Anthony Grima and composed also of Bernard Cassar, Matthew Cassar and Raul Fenech. The result of the match was 8-1 for TTN Rockets.

Besides undergoing coaching/training at Msida Gym and Tarxien Sports Complex, the TTN players were introduced to a pre-season physical fitness programme “benefit” whereby Mr Mizzi conducted evening sessions in summer so as to prepare the boys and girls for the season. This was very successful and the Table Tennis Nursery directors are continuously taking new initiatives to enhance their students’ performance and development.

However Adam is teaming up with Dream Team and Jessica will be playing for Maltese Premier division team Valletta despite being offered a contract to play in the ladies Sicilian league Serie B.
