The Curia Response Team took seven years to come to the conclusion that the allegations of 11 men whose claims that they had been sexually abused by four members of the clergy when they were young were in fact founded. This Response Team was chaired by Judge Emeritus Dr V. Caruana Colombo. Incidentally, the same judge has also been commissioned by Gozo Bishop Mgr Mario Grech to chair another commission to inquire into the fireworks factory incident at Gharb, earlier this year.

I hope that this time the commission won’t take that long to draw up its report and make the necessary recommendations!
