After taking the first two placings in the APS Cup, Aloysians Zmerc and La Salle ZT Development opened their APS League challenge with a little effort against Kavallieri RS2 and Luxol Starbene respectively.

Aloysians Zmerc managed to make a good finish after a bad start with Kavallieri having the better of Aloysians in the first quarter.

After this initial scare it was a downhill road for Aloysians who controlled the game for a score of 27-14.

Same thing was done by La Salle ZT Development who made Luxol look like the ultimate beginner in a game where they managed to control from beginning to end with Luxol writing it as a dismal day with a scoreline of 19-5 for La Salle.

The Men had to play the last round of the APS Cup with Luxol facing Kavallieri RS2.

It seemed to be a balanced encounter and some fine saves by Luxol keeper Stefan Vancell gave heart to his team who after an awful quarter managed to open a good five-goal advantage by the first half.

In the second half, Luxol kept the momentum and managed to win this game for 30-21.

Kavallieri must rue their lost chances in the beginning of the game where they could take the lead by at least three goals but they did not take full advantage of Luxol’s erratic display.

In the most awaited game, Clint Mifsud’s performance in goal helped Phoenix take a credible result of 24-20 against Aloysians Von Taine.

Phoenix opened with a bang and were leading by three goals in the 29th minute. At the change of ends, Aloysians, for whom Bulgarian Rado Kirov was making a welcome return, were the better side and though the game was still balanced, they started adding the pressure with some fast runs and began to give themselves a space for the end score of 24-20.
