Andrew Galea, above, an athlete from the SKSM Karate Malta School has made Malta proud by winning four medals at the recently held All England championships.
He won a gold medal, two silvers and a bronze, thanks to some excellent performances in the four categories in which he participated.
He won the gold medal as a member of a team consisting of the best athletes on the day which competed against seven other teams from different associations from various countries.
The silver medals arrived in the Kata and Kumite (individual U-14) events, while the bronze medal was won in the Pair Kata category.
Coach Chris Galea was very happy with the results obtained by Andrew and congratulated his athlete on his successes.
The Malta Karate School will now be competing again in Genova, Italy, in the World Cup 2010.
It will have its own team taking part, although this will be a very hard task.
The School also intends to send some members to take part in a competition in Duesseldorf, Germany, before the end of the year.
