Villa Cassar Torreggiani, which is part of the Le Meridien St Julian’s, is only covered with a permit for a restaurant (Class 6) except for a lower room, with separate access, which has a permit as a shop.

This was stated by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi in reply to Charles Mangion (PL).

In reply to a further question by Dr Mangion, Dr Gonzi said the villa is not covered by a permit to play amplified music. The police have been informed of this, Dr Gonzi said.
