Gasan Enterprises Ltd is putting the full weight of its support behind the new car scrappage incentives announced recently by the government in this year’s budget.
This new incentive means that now really is the best time to consider purchasing a new car. The scrappage scheme, offered by the government, gives potential car buyers a 15.25% rebate on the cost of a new car including insurance and freight, and up to €2,000 money back on the value of the new car when scrapping the old one. The scheme is open to people with a drivers license and who do not have a registered car in their name during the 18 months before the application. It also applies to those who scrap their 10 year or older car registered in their name for not less than 18 months when buying a new car.
“We are fully committed to providing a comprehensive service to those interested in taking advantage of such a scheme that will not only rid you of your old car but offer you money back on a new car. Our sales team is fully equipped and ready to guide interested customers in the entire process beginning with the scrapping of their old car,” said David Gasan, managing director for Gasan Enterprises.
According to this government scheme, eligible cars have to have a Euro 4/5 engine which emits less than 150 grams per kilometre and has to be 4.46 metres or less. Models available at the Gasan showroom in Mriehel that fall under this description include the Ford Ka, Fiesta, Fusion, Focus and C-Max. From the Mazda range, both the Mazda 2 and Mazda 3 are suitable. The stylish and sporty Volvo C 30 also qualifies.
Application forms for this incentive are available at the Gasan Showroom in Mriehel where the sales team will be offering their expertise in handling all the necessary paperwork required for the application process.
