The final in the ‘Trofew ta’ l-Anglu’ competition is being played this evening between the champions, Vittoriosa, and Paola Schreiber.

The match is to take place at Birkirkara, starting at 6pm.

The two teams will again meet on Sunday at 9 at the Qormi St Sebastian pitch to contest the Cossy Super Cup – the final match of the season.

The match is normally contested by the champions and the Cup winners. Vittoriosa are the champions and Paola Schreiber will be their opponents as finalists if they lose today’s match.

Giovanni Fabri, new president of the Bocci Federation after the demise of Victor Zahra a few months ago, said that this season there was a sort of revival with attendances being on the increase during the nine months during which the championship and the competitions were held.

He thanked all the 35 affiliated clubs for their cooperation since he took over the reins of the federation.
