The draws for the second round of the U*BET FA Trophy were drawn yesterday evening with the main attraction being the Hamrun Spartans v Tarxien Rainbows match.

These two Premier sides are enjoying a very good spell and are fighting it out for a place in the Champioship Pool in the second phase of the championship.

This will not be the only clash between Premier sides in the second round as newly promoted sides Marsaxlokk and Vittoriosa Stars were drawn to meet each other. This will be their second clash in the space of three weeks as they figured in a 1-1 in the Premier League.

In the other matches both Floriana and Hibernians will start as favourites against First Division opposition, namely Mosta and St Andrews.

The clash between the Greens and the Blues could be an interesting affair as Mosta are aiming high this season.

Hibernians will try to obtain some glory in the Trophy after a dismal run so far in the League.

All matches are scheduled for 8 December
