He lifted in the 85kg yesterday and was looking forward to improve his rankings.

His participation was made was possible with the help of the President of the Cyprus Weightlifting Federation who has very good relations with the ex President of the local federation, David Saliba. It is to be said that he and the Malta Weightlifting Federation contributed financially towards Christian’s participation.

Christian was in action yesterday morning.

Saliba senior will be working as an IWF International Referee official during the championships after his son’s lifting.
