KPMG Tree planting initiative

Malta Independent Thursday, 2 December 2010, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

A group of KPMG employees and their family members have planted trees at the Salina National Park near Kennedy Grove as part of the audit firm’s corporate social responsibility programme.

The activity was the latest in a series of events organised by KPMG aimed at making Malta greener.

Joseph Schembri, KPMG’s senior partner, expressed strong support for the initiative. The firm has sponsored the planting of 360 trees, following an earlier initiative to plant another 260 trees in 2007.

Other recent events in the KPMG in the Community programme have included a day outing for the children at Angela house, various fundraising events and donations to institutions, as well as participation in the recent Inspire Ghinna Nghinu campaign.

KPMG is a global network of professional firms providing audit, tax and advisory services.
