ASA Vice-President and Chairman of Swimming Board Mark Galea together with ASA Swimming Board Secretary Chris Agius and National Coach Andy Colbourn will be leading the ASA National Swimming Team in the 10th FINA World Short Course Championships being held in Dubai between the 15 and 19 December 2010.
The Malta team will consist of Neil Agius, Andrea Agius, Edward Caruana Dingli, Daniel Galea, Mark Sammut, Andrew Chetcuti and Davina Mangion, Melinda Sue Micallef, Nicola Muscat and Talisa Pace.
These Championships have been held every two years since the inaugural Championships in 1993. The last event was held in Manchester UK in 2008. This is the first time the event will be held in the Middle East. Swimmers from over 130 national teams from around the world will be coming to Dubai to compete in the Championships. Dubai is preparing to host approximately 1500 swimmers and officials for the event.
