The Gowl Għall-iStrina 2010, an event organised jointly by The Premier League Standing Committee, the Youth FA and NET TV’s Replay, under the auspices of the Malta Football Association. As is already known all proceeds will go in aid of l-iStrina.
His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr Ġorġ Abela, will kick off the All Stars Match – between a team consisting of Maltese players and another comprising foreigners playing in the local leagues - after meeting all the participants.
Gowl Għall-iStrina 2010 is open to everyone. Entrance at the Hibernians Stadium is free.
The event brings together in one match the best possible talent in the BOV Premier League. The Under 11 Youth Nurseries’ teams of all the Premier League clubs will also be in action prior to the main match.
FIFA referee Marco Borg will lead the match officials for the All Stars Match. Philip Agius and Ingmar Spiteri will be the two assistant referees while FIFA referee Clayton Pisani will be the fourth official.
Also attending the event will be Clyde Puli, Parliamentary Secretary for Youth and Sport, MFA President Norman Darmanin Demajo and Youth FA President Fr Hilary Tagliaferro.
This All Stars Match augurs to be an enjoyable night for all football lovers, and the organisers hope to raise as much money possible to add to the coffers for l-iStrina. The latter has always been a key objective in the organisation of this event. Volunteers from l-iStrina campaign will be in attendance at the stadium’s entrance. Donations by cheque should be made payable to l-iStrina and can be forwarded to the organisers.
