For the last two years, I have been a student volunteer at the Gozo SPCA. I felt I must write to say how deeply sorry I am at the news that the Gozo branch has reached a saturation point. As long as no alternative site is located, stray animals are to be left roaming our streets and countryside. Therefore the government can help this situation by providing a more suitable location where the cats and dogs can have a better quality of life than they currently have. The kindness of so many animal lovers that volunteer to run and help the Gozo branch will always remain a proud and cherished memory.
