Season 2010 was positive for the Table Tennis Nursery organisation. No less than six Grand Prix Tournaments were held in two categories, Beginners & Emerging Level and Intermediate Level.

The annual Parents Christmas and Easter tournaments proved once again to be a popular event with new faces on the scene. Coaching sessions continued throughout including the summer months.

TTN introduced the beneFIT pre season physical training program to its youngsters which was held prior to the beginning of the competitive season but which on demand is always available for the students to apply additionally to their regular on table sessions.

This year TTN introduced three teams to play the Malta National League thus offering more experience to its up and coming players. TTN opened a second centre in Tarxien, a state of the art sports complex for the coaching and training of boys and girls hailing from the south of Malta.

The constant upgrading of TTN website allows all students and interested parties to follow in depth all the various activities including photographs which ultimately speak for themselves with regards to the success of the school.

To keep up with modern trends a Facebook group was also created where individuals are invited to post their comments. TTN Director David Pace says that “ultimately the main satisfaction is when we see the big smile on the faces of our players soon after they win an important match, be it an internal or a national competition. It is a great feeling which motivates us to keep implementing our development programme.”

Pace also says that the competence of TTN collaborators reflects the high standard which is being maintained.
