Maltese international players Thurston Grixti and Philip Ciantar representing 147 Snooker Hall of Hamrun beat England internationals Liam Clark and John Hartley, who represented Hartlepool Academy Hal,l 6-2 in a friendly international at the Apple Snooker Club in Bugibba. The match was controlled by Emmanuel Fiott.

Philip Ciantar opened his encounter by drawing 1-1 with John Hartley while Thurston Grixti also managed another 1-1 draw with Liam Clark who opened with a break of 50 and Thurston Grixti replying with another good break of 55.

In the second session the Maltese players were in much better form with Grixti winning his encounter against Hartley 2-0. Ciantar finished with flying colours in beating Liam Clark also 2-0 and making breaks of 53 and 57, for the match to finish 6-2 in favour of the Maltese side.
