Malta Futsal School has recently concluded the first term of its first ever season since it launched last September.
With 25 members consisting of children aged between eight and 12 years, mainly boys, Malta Futsal School together with its founders Jonathan Pisani and JeanBert Gatt, has given start to the first of its kind on the Maltese islands. The School is run by coaches who are or have formed part of the Malta national team of Futsal.
This school, like any other new venture was not short of big sacrifices from both founders. Futsal is still a growing sport on the island of Malta and promoting it has proved to be very difficult.
An event was organised at the closing session of the first term where members and their parents participated in a number of fun games and children were also given awards for their participation.
Malta Futsal School next upcoming event will be their participation in the UEFA FUTSAL Euro 2012 preliminary round qualification to be held at the Cottonera Sports Complex between 20 and 24 January.
Children from the school will assist as ball boys during matches played between four nations namely Malta, France, Lithuania and Bulgaria. Children will also be playing a game next Sunday at the Cottonera Sport Complex.
Malta Futsal School thanked its sponsors, mainly Sportika - Sportsmania, Charles Darmanin & Co. Ltd., The General Soft Drinks Co. Ltd. and the Handyman Centre Ltd. Malta
