Finance, Economy and Investment Minister Tonio Fenech visited JS Dimech, which opened shop in Hal Far in 2004, manufacturing steel and stainless steel products.

The company has added to its investment and doubled its workforce to 100 over the past three years.

Mr Fenech expressed satisfaction at this situation and also met some of the 25 former Shipyard employees who work there. The company is seeking to export to Libya and Tunisia, among other countries.

JS Dimech was given investment tax credits by Malta Enterprise and received €72,000 under the ERDF Innovation Grant Scheme.
