The second Miles Express 1st Division player of the month honour was won by A to Z Electronics Athleta player Steve Schembri.

Schembri joined Athleta this season together with his brother Dirk and this was his fifth success in the player of the month award. He won his first one way back in December 1996 with Depiro and between December 2004 and February 2010 he won it three times with Luxol.

In November Athleta won the MBA Detur Shield and kept their unbeaten record this season. Schembri contributed to these results by scoring 83 points ending as the men’s second best top scorer for November. These include 14 three pointers making him the best three point shooter for November. S

teve also features an average of 2.45 rebounds and 2.36 assists per game. He was presented this award by Martin Ferry, on behalf of Miles Express Ltd.
