Malta Independent Sunday, 30 January 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

In its wish to establish a presence closer to the markets it serves, Meridium, a leader in asset performance management (APM) software and consulting services, has commenced its Mediterranean operations at SmartCity Malta.

SmartCity Malta was Meridium’s preference in an expansion exercise aimed at enabling it to deploy resources quickly and efficiently to better support its clients in the Mediterranean region and reflects its recent success and continued commitment to the Middle East, European, and African markets (EMEA).

“This magnificent European location will allow us to attract and hire technical expertise from around the world,” said Meridium president and CEO Bonz Hart. “The high level of expertise available, and the flexibility of the Maltese business environment and locale, also enables our employees to work on long and short-term assignments to meet the ever-changing client needs in the area.”

The Malta office will report to Meridium EMEA Ltd in Dubai, which is led by managing director Maher Maamari.

“We have had a good experience and success in Dubai, working with TECOM. When TECOM announced the SmartCity Malta project, it caught my attention” said Mr Maamari. “Working with the SmartCity Malta executives and staff to establish our office there has been a pleasant experience. Our office is already operating and we look forward to expanding our operations in the European and North African markets.”
