Floriana FC president Johann Said yesterday tendered his resignation most probably over the lack of an agreement between the club and Malta international Michael Mifsud.

The resignation was later confirmed by the club in a statement in which it was also stated that discussions are being held to try and convince Said to withdraw his resignation.

The committee also stated that they have full confidence in Johann Said’s leadership.
