Marsaxlokk will be aiming for a victory this evening as they face bottom placed club Vittoriosa Stars at the Victor Tedesco Stadium in Hamrun (kick-off 7.30pm).

The southern seasiders are well aware that a victory will assure their place in the Top Six, while a draw will just move them closer.

Marsaxlokk have been passing through a good phase in their last remaining unbeaten in the last four matches – two draws and two wins.

They now seem to have a very good chance of winning the three points this evening even if they have to face the Stars without their two suspended players – Peter Pullicino and Trevor Templeman.

On the other hand, Vittoriosa will not be throwing in the towel so easily. They are aware that if they want to their chances in the relegation battle, they have to win as much points as possible.

Last week they offered very decent opposition to the champions and only lost marginally. Now they hope to give Marsaxlokk a good run for their money.
