The eighth short corner provided dividends and in the 63rd minute Kevin Micallef scored from close range to bring Rabat back into the game.
Qormi reacted immediately and Jonathan Borg put Qormi further ahead in the 67th minute after a well orchestrated move.
With about two minutes to go a number of Rabat players took offence to an umpiring decision and after various verbal protests, very regrettably the game was abandoned.

Young Stars 1
Umpires: Paul Brincat, Luke Busuttil Leaver

In the first half exchanges were fairly even and both sides could have taken the lead. The deadlock was broken in the 34th minute when after an elaborate move Domingo Gutierrez put Hotsticks ahead.
At the start of the second half Young Stars missed a chance from an acute angle and Hotsticks went ahead in the 42nd minutes through a well taken goal by Simon Baldacchino.
At this point Hotsticks pressed forward and created a couple of chances but did not convert them.
The game then flowed from end to end with Young Stars reducing the deficit in the 62nd minute when Chris Attard netted from close range.
Hotsticks then forced to short corners in the final three minutes of the game but the score did not change.
