The Men’s Division I competitions has been postponed by the President’s Council of the Malta Basketball Association.

The reason for this decision is not exactly known yet but sources close to the game told The Malta Independent yesterday that the issue involves four clubs.

The same sources said that some decisions concerning one club did not go down well with the other three clubs with the consequence that there were a number of protests and appeals.

It was in the light of such a confusing situation that the Council decided to postpone the national league to discuss the situation and see what can be done to solve the problem as quickly as possible.
