I wonder where Chris Said got his €150 million estimate for his proposed Malta-Gozo underwater tunnel.
Denmark is to build an 11.6 miles tunnel across the Fehmarn Strait to link Scandinavia with Europe. It should be completed in 2020, according to a BBC news story. Construction is to begin in 2014. The budget that has been drawn up, and we know very well that such budgets end phenomenally under declared, is 32 billion kroner, equivalent to €4.2 billion
The tunnel is to be built between the Danish island of Lolland and the German island of Fehmarn, both of which are already connected by bridges to the rest of their respective countries.
