The San Michel Teams Tournament organised by the Vittoriosa Lawn Tennis Club and sponsored by Simonds Farsons Cisk plc, has this year attracted a substantial number of participants.

Sixty men and 42 women have been grouped into six teams captained by Diane D’Alessandro (Team A), Christine Scerri (Team B), Vince Vassallo (Team C ), Carmen Difesa (Team D), Rinaldo D’Alessandro (Team E ) and Jonathan Cmilleri (Team F ).

The tournament is spread over 12 weeks with teams playing each other in two-set format, round robin. Play is taking place on Saturdays and Sundays afternoon.

After the first two rounds the first four teams will play knock-outs to select the finalists.

The all-important final is to be played on the Club’s Atlas Insurance Courts, with the winning team, of course, claiming the San Michel Trophy.
